Romee Strijd shot by Daniel Jackson for TeenVogue May 2012
While I consider almost all TeenVogue editorials blog-worthy, the images in this month's story "The Life Aquatic," really stuck in my brain. Rising model Romee Strijd brought life to every page with her sun-kissed glow, piercing gray eyes, and bubbly expressions. I love the fun and completely on-trend surfer girl theme, which fashion director Alastair McKimm executed perfectly with slick neoprene, chunky scuba goggles, and bold, vibrant prints. These photos have ignited my inner beach chick: I'm desperate for tousled hair, sporty swimsuits, and a cheeky smile. Oh summer, please come faster!

I started blogging about fashion in my freshman year of high school and have continued to rave and rant about the subject in these subsequent four years. Adding film, music, and fine art to my writing repertoire as I take in all that the city has to offer. Also enjoy photography, yoga, and vegan baking when I'm not hoarding magazines or memorizing french vocab.
I hope to one day become a fashion journalist, but until then I'll keep on blogging my dreams.
