You've got the love

         Jumpsuits. You either hate them or you love them. If you couldn't already tell, I'm a huge fan. They were everywhere on the spring runways, from elegant black at Yves Saint Laurent, to garden prints at D&G, and Moroccan inspired creations at Gucci. I opted for a tribal take on the look in a paisley print and feather earrings.       

Sunny Delight

          In my dreams, I'm picnicking under the sun in a wide brim hat and playsuit that oddly resembles overalls. Frolicking in flatforms with fruity socks, and toting my goods in the Proenza Schouler PS1. In reality, I'm swamped with schoolwork, it's raining, and the PS1 is $1,000 over my budget. Lovely.

Central Park

          Central Park is one of my favorite places in the world. In the middle of all the hustle and bustle of New York City, it's like a magical escape. Suddenly the sky scrapers transform into rolling green hills, and the sound of honking cars becomes a symphony of laughter and flowing water. It was the perfect setting for my silky, ultra feminine blouse. I feel so ladylike in its puff sleeve silhouette and pussybow neck closure, and I'm in love with the punchy florals set in a navy background. I've always been a lover of florals, and this season I've been swaying towards the bolder floral prints. Usually I would pair such a print with a simpler shoe, but I was feeling spontaneous and decided why not mix in some red stripes. Speaking of red, it's a color I've become quite obsessed with lately. I not only sported bright red pants, but a red lip as well. This was my first time experimenting with a different shade on my lips and I was surprised how it dramatically changed my look. My hair seemed much darker and my skin more porcelain; a nice contrast from my go-to natural makeup look, which is very little to no makeup at all. If there's one time of year to shake things up, it has to be spring. As the world around me morphs into scene of lively colors, I can't help but be inspired to do the same with my wardrobe.  

Meet me halfway

           My new stripe tank has become one of my absolute essentials. After I purchased it, I immediately began pairing it with everything I could think of, which is quite rare because it usually takes a week or two for new clothes to cycle into my wardrobe. In terms of casual shirts, there's really nothing more versatile than black and white stripes. The obvious choice is to team them with solid black, so I chose this sheer black maxi dress to mix it up a bit. Then I threw on my denim vest, which I'm proud to say was a jacket until a few months ago. Because really, is there anything cooler than a denim vest you cut up yourself? I think not! Next, I added this nifty ring that I found during my summer travels. I like how it brings an small element of pattern play to the outfit. Lastly, I completed the look with plain white sandals that are perfect for weekend wandering around town.
