Lindsey Wixson by Theo Wenner in "This American Girl," Style.com/Print
Style.com's first ever print edition is my latest fashion read. The extra-large glossie is loaded with street style shots, catwalk coverage, and fresh-off-the-runway fashion. Of course it's nowhere to be found on suburban newsstands, so I fetched a copy on my way out of Grand Central a few weeks ago. The cover story, shot by Theo Wenner, profiles model Lindsey Wixson as she leaves her hometown of Wichita, Kansas for the runways of New York and Paris. I've always loved Lindsey for her high fashion appeal tinged with country girl charm. This was the first I've seen Wenner's work, and I was captivated by the the raw, personal feel of each image. His candid style is a breath of fresh air from the perfectly lit, overly glamourous photos that have become standard in most magazines.
